Live H.264 AVC Software

The M-Link solution caters for live broadcast and store and forward operations. The solution can be used over either of the two IP data connection types offered by BGAN, standard IP and streaming IP. However, Inmarsat recommends the use of live broadcast applications over Streaming IP.  Store and forward can be used over either Standard IP or Streaming IP, depending on your requirements.
M-Link Live H.264 AVC is integral to Voyager and Exchange, but also available as a standalone product for computer-based videoconferencing and security applications.

M-Link offers the following main features over the BGAN network:

  • Direct control of the BGAN terminal call set-up procedures: M-Link offers integral support for establishing the required BGAN IP data connection for ‘live’ and ‘store and forward’ workflows. It provides a simple ‘one click’ operation through a single M-Link user interface.
  • Highly optimized transmission protocols: M-Link can utilize the full capacity of BGAN connections (Livewire optimized IP - Level 2), managing the latency of BGAN satellite connections. Furthermore, it is designed to traverse both standard and stateful-based firewalls (Livewire optimized IP - Level 1 and Level 2).
  • Customized H.264 AVC profiles: M-Link offers a range of simple to understand profiles for both ‘live’ and ‘store and forward’ workflows to be used over Standard IP and Streaming IP connections.
  • Integral BGAN and IP diagnostic tools: M-Link features valuable tools for both direct use by the operative and for remote support. These include IP and BGAN specific diagnostics to support users in the field.
