Cobham EXPLORER 300 and 500 BGAN Terminals Reach End of Life

Following over a decade of success in the mobile satellite communications market, Cobham Satcom have announced the discontinuation of the EXPLORER 300 and EXPLORER 500 BGAN land terminals. 

Widely used by AID and government organizations, as well as broadcasters, the EXPLORER 300 and 500 terminals which use Inmarsat’s leading BGAN service providing simultaneous voice and broadband data communications globally, have been unmatched in deployed quantities. However, within the fast moving world of satellite communications, the next generation of BGAN terminals focusing on wireless connectivity and bring your own device technology, the EXPLORER 510, is already available in the market place.

The EXPLORER 300 and EXPLORER 500 BGAN terminals reach their End of Life on the below dates;

  • Last Order Date: 30th June 2015.
  • Last Delivery Date: 25th September 2015.
