Following four successful years, Inmarsat have announced that they will no longer be manufacturing the IsatPhone Pro which was launched in 2010 as Inmarsat's entry into the global handheld satellite phone market.
Although the IsatPhone Pro satellite phones will no longer be manufactured, Satcom Global is still able to provide a limited number of IsatPhone Pro’s to our valued customers, in addition to the new ready, reliable, robust IsatPhone 2 handsets which are available NOW.
Inmarsat will continue to provide customer support and firmware upgrades to correct critical issues that may arise with IsatPhone Pro products in the field until further notice.
As a reminder, IsatPhone Pro handsets must be upgraded to firmware v 5.3.0 or higher here by 30 November 2014 to ensure continuation of service.
